Is your church in the SEU Ministry Network looking for a: Youth, Worship or Children’s Ministry Pastor? 

The Higher Up Candidates

To qualify for your open ministry role, we ensure first that applicants have the capability to produce in your open role:

  • They can successfully execute the job tasks for your open role

Second, we ensure they possess the qualities that will keep them in that role: 

  • Theological Congruency

  • Personal character competencies

  • Motivation for your role 

Higher Up Assessment Process

Our belief is that in any good assessment process, we match applicants solely for the role and we do so in multiple different ways. 

Phase 1

We include our scores of each assessment plus the candidate’s actual answers for you to review as well

In Phase 1 our applicants create a portal and fill out the following information:
  • Basic Entry level Pastoral Search Criteria

  • Theological written essay questions & a denominational fit questionnaire

  • Motivation for the role questionnaire 

  • Multiple job role work samples 

  • Complete a personality inventory called the Quest Profiler

We also email their academic advisor and campus a questionnaire in which they rate the following: 
  • Applicants personal character competencies related to the role

Phase 2

We include a video recording of this interview along with our ratings of each question for you to view and evaluate on your own as well.

In Phase 2 we interview applicants via our structured interview questionnaire for your open role, assessing the following information: 
  • Multiple job role behavioral and situational interview questions

  • Follow up on answers to questions in Phase 1

Access to Higher Up Candidates

For all applicants that match your opening requirements, we send you those applicant profiles.
See below for an example of what that looks like:

These profiles are initially anonymous and for those you would like to interview we arrange the initial interview with our applicant/s.

We continue working with you until you have selected one of our applicants for an open role. 

If you hire one of our applicants:

HUR charges a finders fee of 10% for placement

HUR will find you a replacement candidate for no additional charge if the candidate works for less than 90 days.
